• The breakdown is the following:
  • 40% unstable angina
  • 40% NSTEMI
  • 20% STEMI
• Acute coronary syndrome risk factors include:
  • Smoking
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Diabetes
  • Physical inactivity
  • Being overweight or obese
  • A family history of chest pain, heart disease or stroke

What does the future look like?²

• 40% + of US adults will have some form of cardiovascular disease by 2030
• One trillion dollars to treat cardiovascular disease by 2030
